Preliminary task

Last lesson me, Harrison, Molly and Dean filmed our preliminary task in school. We filmed in an empty classroom and used a variety of different shots and techniques to compose our short film. At the start I filmed Harrison walking upto the door of the room using a mid shot of his head and torso. As he opens the door I used match on action in order to give different perspectives of him entering the room and to focus attention on him walking into the room. As he came in I used a low shot on Dean to show he is an important and intimidating character and then an extreem close up of Harrisons eyes to show his fear of Dean. Then when they both sat down at the table, I used the 180 degree rule to film the conversation between the two. I used match on action again when Harrison took a phone from Dean in order for the focus to be on the handover. Finally I used framing, filming through the shape of a love heart, focusing on Harrison and Dean getting up and leaving to show the relationship between the two at the end of the film.
